Madden, Baby!
I'll admit it: I was tempted to take a sick day today so that I could play video games. But then I thought that playing video games during the day makes me feel really queezy and unproductive, whereas playing video games at night gives me an enormous sense of anti-establishmentarianism. "Yeah, I need to go to bed to make it in to work tomorrow at a reasonable hour, but so what?" The incessant button mashing is my way of saying Puck You [Filipino accent] to the man.

Stanley swung by to help me toss my Cressida onto the driveway. I had it parked on a city street and I got a notice saying that the car appeared to be abandoned, and therefore had to be moved in order to keep it from being towed. The odometer had to register movement. So we dropped it into neutral and attempted to push this car up onto the slope of my property.

We had to do a bit of maneuvering to get it to be perpendicular to the street, with its nose finally aimed straight up the driveway. We then pushed the Cressida and gave it a running start so that it could make it up to the driveway, with me running to set the parking break before a) it could crash into the garage and b) lose momentum and roll back down onto the street.

Three cheers for Accomplishment!

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
