5X TA Reunion
Met up at the reliable ol' Adobe Cantina yesterday with a bunch of former teaching assistants who work at a small startup around the corner from my company. We end up targetting the same candidates from Caltech, although lately, my company's hiring binge is targetting people with a lot more experience. Their company has sort of stagnated over the past five years, whereas mine has grown in leaps and bounds. Your decisions are half-chance; so are everyone else's.

Applying for a car loan from the credit union. The threat of not getting credit for having an interlock device on the past four months is real. I'm trying to show my probation officer that I'm earnestly trying to comply.

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
