Shoe Money Tonight!
Okay, so I had a good run at the (illegal) hold 'em table last night, winning twelve bucks or so, to put my career losses at only $18. Progress, baby! I play very very very conservatively, so I can't lure anyone except the new guys into big bets. As soon as I bet, los veteranos just get out of harms way.

This morning, from my room that faces south, the wind was battering against the "window". I put it in quotes because it's a thick piece of plastic that doesn't quite fit into the pane, and so it does a lot of rattling around at night. Fortunately for me, my bunk isn't against the window, but then again, I didn't chose my bunk accidentally, as long time readers know.

A wind from the south bodes well for my morning ride, and it made a severe difference to have the wind at my back.

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
