Thank you, Amazon.com
For keeping me sane the past nine weeks (with less than thirteen to go; see how epic it seems when numbers are spelled out? This is the year two thousand four. Okay, maybe not all the time) by providing me with all the latest books and music. I intend to donate a charitable sum to KCRW after my vacation in Camarillo expires, since they've saved me the horror of having to listen to Q104.7 play the same twelve songs twenty times a day for five months.

Although that new Chrstinia Milian song featuring Fabolous is pretty hot. Pop, pop, pop that thang.

This week went by fairly quickly, with each day I come back and expect a new bunkie. It's just me and Ray at the moment. I've taught him how to play backgammon in a rudimentary fashion, and if he's not lying in his bunk reading the Bible, he's out smoking or talking about how he just wants a beer. Me, I spend my days filling in the spaces between sporting events by trying to catch up on my reading. Matty J and Liz have kept me well stocked, and I have to start making some headway into my library.

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
