Let's Get It On
Normally, I would reserve my extra comments in, well, the Comments. But I just wanted to point out that when someone starts comparing Marvin Gaye to John Donne, I feel vindicated. I've long professed my feelings that "Let's Get It On", while on the exterior seems to be a sexually seductive song, is actually a work of art with higher aspirations in mind, and thus perfectly suitable as a newlywed couple's first dance. I love the juxtaposition of surface-level shock regarding the song combined with the sweetness and tenderness that the song ultimately evokes.

Compare the opposite ends of the spectrum, where songs like "Crash" by Dave Matthews Band and "Every Breath You Take" by The Police reside.

I don't, however, plan on using it at my wedding. Anymore. For a variety of reasons.

of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
