And started using an iPod, and here's my reasoning: it was a free gift.
I now have two mp3 players from Creative Labs, one from Sony, one from Samsung (which is a piece of shit and you should never buy never ever), and now a 3rd generation iPod (not the most current), along with various laptops and computers. Also, my Arcam can play MP3 CDs. So the iPod, understandably, as a gift, was sort of lying around, and I was hoping to regift it, but since the Samsung broke (which is a piece of shit, and you should never buy it never ever not even now no don't do it), I thought it would be the most prudent thing to actually make use of it.
I also don't use that shitty iTunes interface, opting instead for the
simpler and less intrusive WinAmp interface. I know Heather will be particularly giddy at the sight of a llama silhouette with iPod headphones.
Here's a
c|net announcement, claiming that Virgin Electronics has a new
iPod killer. I think that whenever a challenger to iPod's throne comes around, people look at it with meticulous scrutiny. My opinion: it's fugly.
