Nothing's been the same
So are you gay?
Are you blue?
Thought we both could use
A friend to run to.

I love Los Angeles right after it rains; the sky is wiped clean, even for a few days, and lately there hasn't been a cloud in the sky. 70 degree highs, 68 degree lows. Lovely. This morning, the sun was rising over the ridge at Camarillo, and the sky over the horizon was brown-grey haze, then orange, then cyan and finally a bright blue, where only some planet off in the distance could defeat the morning.
Lots of new faces all around. Looks like I'm an old timer now that I'm almost at my 60 day mark. A person getting busted on some 90 day charge (like possession of cocaine, or violating felony probation or maybe a 3rd DUI) would be out of here by now. I'm not going to get started. Instead, I'm going to celebrate the loss of a digit on my time remaining. It's monumental, since first I had to be convicted of a charge that carried a sentence with 3 digits in the first place, and now that I'm heading down to 99 days left, I feel like I can do it easily. October is almost over, as evidenced by the fact that Heather is getting more and more excited as Halloween nears. Anthony and Steve are both gone pretty soon, and even Ray has 30 days left.
I'm celebrating by having
Wood Ranch bring food to work. Mmm, tri-tip, barbecue chicken, ranch fries, baby-back ribs, mashed sweet-potatoes....
