When your day is through
And so is your temper
You know what to do;
I'm gonna always be there.
Sometimes if I shout,
It's not what's intended.
These words just come out
With no gripe to bear.

When In Rome, "The Promise"
---
I'm sorry, I'm just thinking of the right words to say. I know they don't sound the way I planned them to be. I replaced the tube in front wheel with a new one, which capped an unusually fast-paced weekend. Part of the excitement came from the fact that I got to switch from my top bunk above Sulfur Springs to the other bottom bunk the room. Yeah, you have to take your joy where you can find it here in The Facility. Being the bottom bunk is a lot cozier, and it gives me a small sense of privacy and compartmentalization. I've suspended my alarm clock from the springs of the mattress above me, using a coat hanger to fashion a metal harness around it. I'm currently trying to decide where best to suspend my LED reading light. I'm going through books the way Grant goes through slaps from Jamie: non-stop and all the time. Life of Pi was an interesting read, and while it doesn't go as far as some of its lofty reviews would lead you to believe, it was still a quick and entertaining read with a real sense of humanity and love all throughout. In order to indulge the left side of my brain, I'm reading about the history and evolution of cryptography and cryptoanalysis.

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
