Quittin'; I still might
Why do I put up this fight?
Why do I still write?
Sometimes it's hard enough just dealin' with real life.

This weekend was the kind of weekend where I really wish I were at Ixia working on a deadline, primarily because there was one, and it's almost entirely my fault, and I wasn't there to receive any of the heat. It really sucks, but that's the judicial system for you. I wasn't approved for overtime because the company didn't want the extra liability since I usually do overtime "off the record", but the probation department's stance is that if I'm not working, then I need to be in lock down.
I've chewed up a lot of my hours of work release by working in the chow hall at The Facility, doing things like scrubbing floors, scouring pans, and cleaning chairs. I actually think this is a pretty positive thing since I could theoretically claim that I've got experience in the food service industry.
Twenty weeks to go. People do lots of things to pass the time at furlough, and I'm glad the football season has started so that at least there's something to do on Sunday mornings. I can't watch Monday Night Football because of my AA meetings, but that's okay since I'm more interested in kicking ass in my fantasy league, which only requires me to make sure that I've got my roster set properly.
People have been doing freestyle battles in and around my room, and I've definitely been tempted to jump in.
I'm not from Oxnard or San Bernardino
I'm 100% intelligent Filipino
Oh yeah: record deals, here I come.
