I know you're supposed to be my steering wheel
Not just my spare tire.

And the Christian Right are worrying about Gay Marriage? It seems to me that invoking religion as an argument against two people loving one another is really silly in light of people who use religion as an argument for murder. This lady wasn't some Islamic fundamentalist, but it's absolutely abhorring to read how the defense attorney explained that she was "on a quest to be closer to her Lord."

Especially telling is this quote:
"The dilemma she faced is a terrible on for a mother... Does she follow what she believes to be God's will or does she turn her back on God?"

Uh, lady, if your religion is telling you kill your kids, you need to switch temples or something. I hate people who use blindly use religion as a basis of action, as well as people who blindly use it as an excuse.

For more on the Gay Marriage front, MTV recently had a news special regarding to how the younger generation viewed the subject. Pretty good special, and it brought up an interesting point: the older generation are currently calling all the shots in this regard, but it really affects the younger generation more. Voter advocacy (in addition to emergency medical response) has been on the back burner of my head for a while now, perhaps in some effort to raise my karma.
