But oh Medusa, kiss me
And crucify this unholy notion
Of the mythic power of love.

Rufus Wainwright, "Go Or Go Ahead"
---
I've been in such a good mood lately that I thought I'd open with a bitter batch of lyrics instead. Rufus Wainwright has been a personal favorite of mine ever since I heard the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. It was fully confirmed when I attended a Tori Amos concert at the Wiltern (this was the night my Accord and I got into a sideswipe and run on the 101), and he opened the show.

This site helped me resolve a debate at work as to the definition of a particular shade of blue. These are the kinds of things about which I worry.

Things are looking great in the next coming weeks. I've just finished a quick seminar at Westlake Culinary, and it looks like I'm going to have a great time. I'm very much looking forward to the experience. I'm back at Career Day tomorrow, along with my last pool session as part of scuba training. This weekend, we do our ocean dives, there's the Super Bowl, and next weekend is my trip North Carolina to visit one (1) Miss Swanson.

In other minutiae, the build quality of the Grado headphones I'd been demoing has really disappointed me. So it looks like I'm going to be procuring a set of Sennheisers instead.

There exists a version
of myself that chose wisely, that saved the day, that won, that got it right. I am his approximation. I've rounded down.
